Zimbabwean chrome concentrate prices keep stable

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 8 Mar 24 – Most Zimbabwean chrome concentrate sellers kept prices stable in the past week. The current mainstream prices of Zimbabwean chrome concentrate 48%min stand at USD155-165/t EXW D/P, stable from early last week. Insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Zimbabwean chrome concentrate would still keep flat in the coming week.
"We quoted USD160/t EXW D/P for Zimbabwean chrome concentrate 48%min with no concessions in the past week and would maintain the stable price in the coming week", a trader in Zimbabwe noted. They did not close any deals this week, but they are negotiating an order of about 5,000t at USD160/t presently and predict to sign contract in the coming week, they sold about 300t at USD160/t early last week. They predict that the mainstream prices of Zimbabwean chrome concentrate would keep flat in the coming week.
The trader, with a regular monthly trading volume about 10,000t of chrome concentrate, would sell about 10,000t in March, almost identical to last month. They hold no stocks at the moment.
Another trader in Zimbabwe disclosed that they would like to sell chrome concentrate 48%min at prices no less than USD165/t EXW D/P this week, stable from last week. "We sold about 1,500t at USD165/t early this week and sold about 1,000t at the same price late last week to regular clients. They would no adjust prices in the coming week and anticipate that the mainstream prices of Zimbabwean chrome concentrate would keep flat in the coming week.
On basis of a regular sales volume about 5,000t of chrome concentrate, they would sell about 5,000t this month, on par with last month. They hold no inventories presently.
