    1. Market Highlights

    In the first half of September, ferromolybdenum prices remained steady on the whole, supported by high raw material prices and scheduled purchases from consumers, then moved down in the rest of this month as stainless-steel market prices decreased gradually due to sluggish demand and steel mills postponed their purchases of raw material.

    Discouraged by watchful downstream attitudes, molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide prices remained soft in early September and then started to go down quickly after mid this month.

    In early September, downstream molybdenum chemical product prices and molybdenum metal prices kept steady but then deceased quickly due to dropping raw material prices.

    In international molybdenum market, as demand remained sluggish, market prices of molybdenum products decreased gradually in September.
