JCHX Mining's Lonshi copper mine in DRC begins operation

JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. announced that its Lonshi copper mine in DRC started operation on September 20 following the completion of construction of mining, dressing and smelting facilities. It is the company's second self-run copper project put into operation in DRC after Dikulushi project.
Lonshi copper mine has a designed raw ore mining and dressing capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per annum and produces standard copper cathode through hydrometallurgical process. The mine is scheduled to reach full capacity by late 2024 and produce around 40,000t of copper annually.
