First GW-level offshore wind power project in Greater Bay Area commences construction

Recently, CGN Huizhou No. 2 Port 750MW offshore wind power project started pile sinking, indicating that main offshore part of the first offshore wind power project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (the Greater Bay Area) commenced construction. CGN has existing offshore wind power capacity of 250MW at the nearby sea, and when the Huizhou No. 2 Port project goes into operation, CGN will have a total of 1GW at the Huizhou Port base, which will be the first GW-level offshore wind power project in the Greater Bay Area.
