Rare Earth New Material Technology Innovation Center inaugurated in Baotou

On February 15, the Rare Earth New Material Technology Innovation Center established by the government of Inner Mongolia and China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group was inaugurated in Baotou.

The center will focus on addressing key core technologies such as rare earth magnetic materials and rare earth hydrogen storage materials, meet specific demands for new rare earth materials in the fields of carbon neutrality and peak carbon dioxide emissions, the new generation of information technology industry, medical devices and other fields, push the rare earth industry to the medium-high end of the value chain, so as to enhance the innovation capacity and core competitiveness of China's rare earth industry.
