JA Solar's Phase III project with annual output of 10GW high-efficiency cell and 5GW high-efficiency module starts construction

On July 5, Qujing City held the groundbreaking ceremony of the JA Solar's Phase III project with an annual output of 10GW high-efficiency cell and 5GW high-efficiency module.
Since JA Solar settled in Qujing, it invested RMB6.4 billion (USD952 million) to build the Phase I project with an annual output of 3GW monocrystalline silicon rod and chip, and the Phase II project with an annual output of 20GW monocrystalline silicon rod and chip. The projects achieved an output value of about RMB2.66 billion (USD396 million) in 2021, and after reaching the designed capacity, they can realize annual output value of over RMB18.9 billion (USD2.81 billion). The Phase III project with an annual output of 10GW high-efficiency cell and 5GW high-efficiency module has a total investment of about RMB6.19 billion (USD922 million), and can achieve an annual output value of RMB16 billion (USD2.38 billion) after reaching the designed capacity.
