Nanhai district of Foshan to cultivate semiconductor manufacturing base and industrial cluster for Greater Bay Area

On July 5, Foshan (Nanhai) semiconductor industry innovation and development workshop and project contract signing ceremony was held. At the meeting, an action plan on advancing Nanhai semiconductor industry development and related supportive policies were announced, and contracts for a number of semiconductor projects were signed.
According to the action plan announced at the meeting, Nanhai district government will invest RMB20 billion (USD2.98 million) in the forthcoming five years and RMB50 billion (USD7.45 million) in the coming ten years to cultivate an important semiconductor manufacturing base and industrial cluster for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (the Greater Bay Area) and to make Nanhai district become an important part of the semiconductor industry in China.
