Four EU countries including Demark, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands signed a joint declaration on May 18 local time at the North Sea Summit, aiming to turn the North Sea into Europe's green powerhouse by 2050.
The above four countries vowed to increase their offshore wind capacity tenfold from the current 16GW to 150GW by 2050 and that the total offshore wind capacity would reach 65GW by 2030.
