According to reports, on the morning of May 18, 2021, the blast furnace of Zhoukou Iron and Steel of Anyang Iron & Steel Group (Angang Group) was successfully ignited.
The construction project of Angang Group Zhoukou Iron and Steel Base is a key project in Henan to promote supply-side reform and realize the optimization and adjustment of the iron and steel industry in the province. At the same time, it is also the first large-scale modern steel company to settle in Zhoukou. The project is located in the Iron and Steel Industrial Park of Shenqiu, Zhoukou, and plans to build a 1,860-cubic-meter blast furnace and supporting systems in the first phase. After all construction is completed, the planned production capacity of steel may reach 10 million tons.
