Iran exports 56,000t of copper in H1 Islamic Calendar Year 2019

NICICO's General Manager Mohammed said on October 25 that Iran's copper production totaled 132,400t in the first half of Islamic Calendar Year 2019 (from March 12 to September 22), and the country's copper exports totaled 56,000t in the period. While in the previous fiscal year (from March 2018 to March 2019), Iran exported just 47,000t of copper.
Mohammed said Iran's copper production would reach 260,000t for this fiscal year and is likely to exceed 300,000t in the following fiscal year (from March 2020 to March 2021). In addition, Iran's copper smelting capacity is expected to reach 400,000tpy by the end of this fiscal year (March 2020).
