China's railways deliver more coal in August

According to data released by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the coal delivered by China's railways reached 197 million tonnes in August, up by 7.7% MOM. The total figure was 1.57 billion tonnes from January to August, up by 10.1% YOY.
Besides, from January to August, the output of nationwide-scaled and larger coal enterprise was 2.28 billion tonnes, up by 3.6% YOY.
In the first eight months, the coal import of China reached 204 million tonnes, up by 14.7% YOY, and the total export decreased by 43.8% to 3.28 million tonnes. In particular, the import volume was 28.68 million tonnes in August, up by 13.5% MOM.
By late August, coal stocks of key power plants in China were 67.70 million tonnes, which could be consumed for 16 days.
