Venezuela exports coltan to Italy for first time

It is reported by UN net that Victor Hugo Cano, Director of Ecology Mineral Development Department, together with Jose Vielma Mora, Director of Foreign Trade and Investment Department announced in Orinoco that Venezuela would export coltan to Italy for the first time.
Victor Cano stated, "It is the first time for Venezuela to export coltan, which is of great significance for the global technology development."
Vielma Mora claimed that the exports of about 5t of coltan valued EUR300,000 totally. The ore will be transported from Palmer port in San Felix, Bolivar to Italian port with the purposes of expanding exports and consolidating economy development.
Mora added, "We will continue to crack down on illegal mining and smuggling of minerals. Coltan will not be smuggled to Columbia any more but exported to other countries in a legal way."
