HR strip prices in major markets of China saw an upward trend during this month mainly supported by higher raw material costs and increase in steel mills' list prices. Some steel mills did not resume the regular production due to the environmental protection inspection. However, as demand from customers remained weak, the market sales performance did not become better. Traders were not confident of the market outlook and refused to build large stockpiles. Insiders do not expect the price to go up further in the coming month.
