Xinjiang's first storage center for waste recycling and harmless disposal of waste lead-acid battery completed

To encourage the establishment of an integrated control principle of recycling mechanism and end treatment of waste lead acid battery, promote the utilization and harmless disposal of waste resources, make good use of recycling and regeneration of waste lead acid battery, improve the environmental quality, and reflect the concept of ecological design, green recycling and recycling of resources, the technicists of environmental monitoring main station of Xinjiang conducted inspections on 6 waste battery storage centers of Urumqi, Khotan, kashi, Korla, Aqsu, and Yining and finished the inspections after almost one month. The total construction area of the 6 centers is 1,500 square meters, and the total volume of waste lead-acid battery is about 7,000t. The waste lead-acid batteries stored in Xinjiang will be disposed harmlessly in inland. Besides, Xinjiang plans to construct a storage center in Toksun. After the construction of the project, it can dispose 160,000tpy of waste lead acid battery, produce 100,000tpy of secondary lead, and make 3.8 million storage batteries per year. The project will achieve full cycling and "zero" emissions and creat the only waste battery recycling and recycling lead processing base in xinjiang.
At present, Xinjiang sees about 200,000tpy of waste storage battery and is unable to dispose about 20,000tpy of waste acid harmlessly. Due to the lack of publicity, the residents lack awareness of the dangers of the waste lead-acid batteries with weak environmental awareness and are unable to actively participate in the recycling of waste lead-acid batteries. Completion of the project led to the circulation industry, promoted the cyclic utilization and governance of recycling of waste lead acid storage battery, improved residents' awareness of waste lead acid storage battery damage, protected the beautiful environment of Xinjiang.
