In early August when influence from environmental inspections and de-capacity policies still lingered, spot supply in the tungsten market was tight with suppliers reluctant to sell, and prices moved with an upward trend of July. But mid-August witnessed deadlocked trading activities in the market due to consistent lack of demand; and afterwards as traders who were eager to sell under financial pressure, lowered their quotations to watch market reflections, prices in the tungsten market declined.
