AM Statistics: Chinese aluminum fluoride output up by 2.57% MOM in January

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Feb 14 - Chinese aluminum fluoride price went down in Northwest China and Henan by the end of January, while it was stable in other regions. The mainstream price was around RMB7,000/t (USD1,154/t) ex works. The total production in January went up a bit compared with that of December. According to the latest statistics from Asian Metal, the aluminum fluoride production increased slightly by 2.57% month-on-month in January to 59,900t, and it went up by 0.5% year-on-year.
Aluminum fluoride price falls in some regions
Chinese aluminum fluoride price declined a bit in some regions in January. Producers in Northwest China and Henan reported that the price went down by RMB50-100/t (USD8.2-16.5/t), and the price in Anhui and Shandong remained stable.

Aluminum fluoride output almost stable
The operating rate remained stable over the past three months, which was relatively high since downstream plants built stocks for the Spring Festival. Most plants ran normally.
The total production in Shandong was 13,300t in January, 200t lower than that of November. Zibo Nanhan Chemical ran fully with the monthly production of 3,000t, while Zhaohe New Material had one-week equipment maintenance, and the output was 4,000t. Bofeng Lizhng ran normally with the monthly output of 4,300t.
The output of Northwest China was 10,500t in January, 200t lower than that of December. Ningxia Jinhe Chemical’s production remained stable at 7,000t, and Qinghai Yinshi Fluoride produced 1,500t of aluminum fluoride. Baiyin Zhongtian ran at full capacity with monthly output of 2,000t.
The output of Henan was 16,000t in January, which was the same compared with that of December. Fengrui Fluoride and Do-fluoride Chemicals both ran fully. East Shaoxing did not resume production. Jiaozuo Weilai Aluminum’s monthly production remained stable at 4,000t.
