A supplier in China, with an output of around 40tpm for bismuth ingot, reported that they sold some bismuth ingot at RMB126,000-126,500/t (USD9.46-9.50/lb) early last week, up by RMB1,000/t (USD0.07/lb) further against that of the previous week. A buyer wanted to purchase some bismuth ingot at RMB127,000/t (USD9.54/lb) late last week, which is for prompt delivery, but they did not accept the orders due to the inconvenience of transportation before the Spring Festival holiday.

Looking ahead, the source thinks that Chinese bismuth ingot prices will increase further after the holiday as the demand from downstream industry is stable and the market is likely to see more investment demand.

A major bismuth ingot trader in China reported that they purchased some bismuth ingot at RMB125,000-126,000/t (USD9.39-9.46/lb) last week, which increased by RMB500/t (USD0.03/lb) further against that of the previous week, and they begin to leave for holiday this week.

The source noted that they were mainly working on long-term orders recently and did not supply bismuth ingot to the spot market due to the tightening availability of materials. The source thinks that if the stocks of bismuth ingot in some exchanges in China keep increasing after the Spring Festival holiday, Chinese bismuth ingot prices will increase further.Asian Metal Copyright50lb currently.Asian Metal Copyright
