BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Oct 13 – Chinese bismuth ingot prices increase further this week. The mainstream prices in the domestic market rise by around RMB1,000/t (USD0.7/lb) to RMB111,500-113,500/t (USD8
A major bismuth supplier in China told Asian Metal that they seal deals for bismuth ingot at RMB113,000/t (USD8.40/lb) in the domestic market and USD8.50/lb in the export market this week, which increased further against the RMB112,000/t (USD8.32/lb) and USD8.35/lb respectively in late September.
The source noted that the inquiries for bismuth ingot from both domestic and overseas markets increase and the prices are likely to keep the up-moving trend in the near future.
A bismuth supplier in China, with an output of around 50tpm, reported that they conclude some deals for bismuth ingot at RMB112,000/t (USD8.32/lb) this week, up slightly by around RMB500/t (USD0.04/lb) against that in late September. The source added that some suppliers hold offers at RMB113,000/t (USD8.40/lb) or even higher now.
“The demand for bismuth ingot usually increases in October and the prices will keep moving up in the near future. We have few stocks in hand now,” said the source . “Some suppliers begin to hold back from selling materials . ”
