    A bismuth consumer, with a regular consumption of around 30tpm for bismuth ingot, told Asian Metal that they prepared some stocks of bismuth ingot at RMB93,000-94,000/t (USD6.91-6.98/lb) in early August and added some stocks at RMB106,000-107,000/t (USD7.Asian Metal Copyright2lb in H2 August.Asian Metal Copyright87-7.95/lb) in mid-August. The source claimed that domestic bismuth ingot prices increased to RMB110,000/t (USD8.17/lb) in late August.     The source added that they still have some stocks and the demand from downstream industries is stable. Moreover, Chinese bismuth ingot prices are decreasing and they do not intend to add stocks in a hurry.

    An overseas bismuth ingot consumer claimed that the purchasing activities from overseas market are expected to increase in September and October after the summer vacation. While as the inventory in the market is large and the investment demand is low, Chinese bismuth ingot prices start to retreat into September.
