A bismuth ingot producer in China, with a regular output of around 70tpm for bismuth ingot, told Asian Metal that they have not sold bismuth ingot for around one month. They sold around 110t of bismuth ingot last week at RMB111,000/t (USD8.24/lb). The source claimed that they quote bismuth ingot at RMB108,000/t (USD8.02/lb) now.
The source noted that bismuth ingot prices lacked of momentum to move up further and they began to sell materials actively last week. “I heard that a supplier sold bismuth ingot at RMB105,000/t on Tuesday,” added the source.
