Prices of section steel in major markets witnessed the downward trend this month due to the soft demand from downstream industries and still mill’s lower ex-works prices. In addition, the output of crude steel kept at a high level, and the sales performance for most domestic traders was quite unsatisfying. Since oversupply can not be solved within a short run, insiders believe the market is unlikely to recover much next month. Therefore, analysts believe prices are likely to decrease further in May.
