On the afternoon of October 22, Mr. Xiaolin Liu, Sales Director of Solomon Enterprise Pte Ltd. visited Asian Metal and talked about the global bauxite market with Mr. Friday Gao, Senior Product Manager of Asian Metal.
Mr. Liu noted that they invested a bauxite project in Solomon Islands with a local bauxite producer and plan to produce bauxite Al2O3 48%min SiO2 1%max Moisture 15-20% from late this year with a production capacity of 360,000tpm.
Mr. Gao analyzed Chinese demand for imported bauxite and the bauxite supply from Guinea, Indonesia and Australia. He stressed that Chinese local bauxite supply remains tight and the demand for imported bauxite will continue to increase in 2020.
