Asian Metal visits Tianyuan Manganese

On 1 March, 2019, Alex Yuan, Analyst of Asian Metal, paid a visit to Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Co., Ltd. and was warmly welcomed by Zhou Jianhua, Tianyuan Manganese's Vice President, and Qin Lifeng, Tianyuan Manganese's Deputy General Manager. The two sides exchanged ideas on supply and demand as well as price trend in Chinese manganese flake market and manganese lump market, and had a discussion on influence factors of manganese flake price trend in 2019.

Firstly, Mr. Qin accompanied Alex Yuan to Tianyuan Manganese's No. 2 plant and No.3 plant, each of which has an annual production capacity of 300,000t. Tianyuan Manganese produces 1,500-1,600t on a daily basis and adjusts operating rate based on marketing strategies, resulting in a change of about 300t per day.

In the afternoon, Mr. Zhou and Mr. Qin had an in-depth talk with Alex Yuan on status quo and future trend of Chinese manganese flake market and influence factors of price trend in 2019. Mr. Zhou predicted that significant factors would come from production safety and changes of downstream demand.

Mr. Zhou and Mr. Qin highly appreciated the neutral, impartial and objective stance of Asian Metal and will join the 7th World Selenium & Manganese Forum to be held by Asian Metal in Zhuhai, Guangdong on 30-31, May.
