    Pengxin International Mining visits Asian Metal

    On the morning of December 26, Jiang Liangen, Chairman of Shanghai Penghe International Trade Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pengxin International Mining Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Pengxin International Mining"), and Li Xiaochen, Senior Manager of Business Division of Pengxin International Mining visited Asian Metal and talked with Carol Lin, Asian Metal's Cobalt Market Analyst and Devin Guan, Copper Market Analyst.
    Pengxin International Mining mainly engages in the mining, beneficiation, smelting and marketing of copper, using copper ore as raw material for producing high-grade copper cathode. In response to China's Going Global Strategy and based on the company's industry planning, Pengxin International Mining developed SMCO project in Congo (DRC) with an annual capacity of 36,000t of copper cathode.
    Pengxin International Mining began building a cobalt hydrometallurgy intermediates production line with capacity of 3,000tpy in Congo from early 2017 and expects to start cobalt hydrometallurgy intermediates export business in the fourth quarter of 2018. In view of China's strong demand for cobalt raw material, the company plans to first export cobalt concentrate 7%min in the first quarter of 2018.
