Asian Metal visits Foster Electric, Toyota Tsusho, Taiyo Koko and TDK
On October 31st, 2017, Vivian Pang, the senior analyst for rare earth market of Asian Metal, visited Foster Electric Co., Ltd., Toyota Tsusho Material Incorporated Tokyo Branch, Taiyo Koko Co., Ltd. and TDK Corporation of Japan, received warm reception from above enterprises and launched deep communication with above enterprises on both the current and future market of rare earth.
On the morning of October 31st, Vivian Pang visited Foster Electric Co., Ltd. and exchanged views on the current price trend for rare earth raw materials and the quotation mechanism of Asian Metal with Sen, the purchasing supervisor from Magnetic Department of the company, and Fujishiro Yuta, the purchasing manager of the company. According to Sen, they usually purchase NdFeB magnetic steel and steel products from China to produce loudspeakers and refer to prices of Asian Metal for each purchase. Both Sen and Fujishiro Yuta noted that they planned to attend the 10th International Rare Earth Summit to be held by Asian Metal in Sanya, Hainan, from May 10th to 11th.
Then, Vivian Pang met Ryumei Yo, the purchasing manager from Toyota Tsusho Material Incorporated Tokyo Branch. Ryumei Yo pointed out that affected by continuously decreased prices for rare earth products in China so far in 2017, Japanese purchasers generally hold a cautious attitude in refilling stocks. He also paid close attention to whether China would execute national reserves in the near future, speaking highly of the information supplied by Asian Metal and hoping to keep close contact with Asian Metal.
On the afternoon of October 31st, Vivian Pang paid a visit to Taiyo Koko Co., Ltd. and communicated with Makoto Ohta, the undersecretary of Tokyo Branch and chief section from General Affairs Section, on current prices of rare earth products. Makoto Ohta remarked that they only purchase a small volume of neodymium oxide 99.999%min and lanthanum oxide 99.999%min from China and refer to quotations of Asian Metal during purchases.
At last, Vivian Pang called on TDK Corporation and exchanged views on the current price trend of rare earth products with Shiro Maki, the section chief from Funds and Material Section of Production Department, Hiroshi Chiba, the section chief from Purchasing Section of Supply and Delivery Strategy Department, and Kohei Yano from the Producing Material Section of Supply and Delivery Strategy Department. Shiro Maki stated that he reads quotations on the website of Asian Metal every day, expressing his gratitude to Asian Metal for timely and accurate quotations.
