Asian Metal visits Zhongmeng (Hubei) Technology, Kingray New Material, Yiyang Kinglong, Tianxiong Group, Huakun Metal, Jinlong Manganese and other companies

From 20 to 22 February, Elaine Zhao, electrolytic manganese analyst of Asian Metal, visited Zhongmeng (Hubei) Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Plant of Huakun Metals (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Hunan Jinlong Manganese Co., Ltd., Yiyang Kinglong New Materials Co., Ltd., KingRay New Materials Science & Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Ruisheng Industrial & Trading Co., Ltd., Hunan Vanchan Industry & Commerce Co., Ltd. and Hunan Tianxiong Group, and was given warm welcome by officials of these companies.

In the morning of 20 February, Elaine Zhao visited Zhongmeng (Hubei) Technology Co., Ltd. and had a discussion on the electrolytic manganese market with Liang Ying, general sales manager of the company, Chen Haiyan and Fang Desheng, sales managers of the company, who were optimistic about the market outlook, indicating that demand for the material will improve gradually in March; in addition, they showed cautious attitude towards the environmental protection inspections.

Then, in the afternoon, Elaine Zhao arrived at Huakun Metals (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.’s manganese lump and ball processing plant, which is located in Xiangtan, Hunan, and visited the factory accompanied by Chen Jianzhao and Li Wenjun. Huakun Metals mainly supplies manganese lumps and balls to mainstream steel mills in China such as Baosteel and WISCO and their products are well recognized by insiders.

Later, Elaine Zhao visited Hunan Jinlong Manganese Co., Ltd. and was received with great enthusiasm by president Huang Wanhong, vice-president Tan Shuangshuang, Zhang Lijun, vice general manager, and Zou Lixin, market general manger of the company. They talked about demand for electrolytic manganese and related products from steel mills. Mr. Huang mentioned that manganese ore prices declined, making manganese alloy prices under downward pressure. Jinlong’s main customers are steel mills which account for more than 80% of their total customers. Referring to the development of the company, Mr. Huang had the intention to explore the overseas market and hoped to keep close cooperation with Asian Metal.

In the morning of 21 February, Elaine Zhao visited Yiyang Kinglong New Material Co., Ltd. and analyzed the reasons of price fluctuations of manganese ore and electrolytic manganese with Zhan Xisong, general manager of the company. Mr. Zhan noted that market prices presented obvious downward trend recently while the production cost increased noticeably from the previous period; some small plants might quit the market as a result if prices continue to drop to the cost line; by then, prices of the material would become stable.

In the afternoon of 21 February, Elaine Zhao visited Hunan Ruisheng Industrial & Trading Co., Ltd., which has been recognized by customers home and abroad as a well-established company. Elaine discussed about the export market of electrolytic manganese with Chen Liang, assistant to general manager of the company. Both parties have been maintaining effective communication and will continue it all the way.

In the afternoon of 21 February, Elaine Zhao also visited Hunan Vanchan Industry & Commerce Co., Ltd. and talked about the imports of electrolytic manganese by Japan, South Korea, Europe and the USA. Mr. Xia stated that they were trying to explore the European and North American markets in addition to maintaining regular customers.

In the morning of 22 February, Elaine Zhao visited Ceng Zhengmao, the general manager of Hunan Tianxiong Group. Mr. Ceng introduced their producing condition and claimed that they will gradually raise electrolytic manganese outputs and recover the supply to overseas customers. Mainly engaged in production and processing of the material at the earlier stage, Tianxiong Group has become a well-known company all around the world after ten-year steady development.
