Asian Metal attends China-Guinea Economic Cooperation Forum
At the invitation of China Association for International Economic Cooperation (CAFIEC), Mr. Friday Gao, senior analyst from the Base Metals Department of Asian Metal, attended the China-Guinea Economic Cooperation Forum in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on October 30, 2016. The forum was hosted by Embassy of the Republic of Guinea in China and co-organized by Investment and Finance Promotion Committee of CAFIEC with about 300 official leaders and commercial representatives from China and Guinea.
Alpha Condé, the president of Guinea; Qian Keming, the vice-minister from China's ministry of commerce; Liu Caiming, vice-general manager of Chalco and other state leaders and enterprise representatives attended the forum and addressed it. Several leaders of Guinea emphasized in the forum that they have about 50% of bauxite reserves in the world with high quality and they will create a favorable investment environment to sincerely welcome Chinese enterprises to invest in Guinea.
During the forum, Friday Gao had a meeting with Abdoulaye Magassouba, the mining minister of Guinea and talked about the bauxite market. Abdoulaye Magassouba highly praised Asian Metal on promoting the cooperation on bauxite between China and Guinea and noted that he is willing to cooperate again in the 8th World Aluminum Raw Material Summit which will be held by Asian Metal on May 18-20, 2017 in Sanya, Hainan of China. M. Ahmed KANTE, the former mining minister of Guinea and current general manager of SOGUIPAMI, attended the 7th World Aluminum Raw Material Summit which was hosted by Asian Metal on May 18-20, 2016 in Qingdao, China, and made a speech during the summit.
