Asian Metal investigates tin market in Gejiu, Menglian Port and Burma
On the evening of March 19, Asian Metal’s market analyst Gan Mianyu went to Gejiu city, visiting Gejiu Jianhong Mining’s general manager Lai Jianping in, 518 Mining Factory of Sichuan Mianning Iron Plant’s general manager Wang Muji and exchanged views on the tin market, tin pricing method and future market trend. Mr. Wang conveyed that state mines have been in struggle for productions since the year of 2013.

In the morning of March 20, Gan Mianyu visited Gejiu Jinye Ming Co., Ltd. and made friendly communications with Yan Shaolin and Zhao Shaoyun in accompany with Lu Zhenghua of Gejiu Yunxin Nonferrous and Electrochemical Co., Ltd. In the afternoon of the same day, Gan Mianyu visited Gejiu Yitong Mining Co., Ltd. and shared opinions on tin concentrate market with the company’s general manager Yi Wenzhong. Mr. Yi claimed that mining plants could only make marginal profits due to the current unstable tin market.

In the morning of March 21, Asian Metal’s Gan Mianyu paid a visit to Gejiu Zifu and the company’s general manager He Jiansong expressed that the current tin market was still oriented by sellers and the supply of Burmese ores was tight based on vigorous market demand, which would last for quite a while. Then, Gan Mianyu went to Yunnan Chengfeng Non-ferrous Metals Co., Ltd. and exchanged ideas with Raw Material Department’s general manager Zhang En, deputy manager Guan Guobao and Miss Yang Hongju. Yunnan Chengfeng is focusing on application of EICC, hoping for Asian Metal’s support and help and looking forward to closely contacting with each other. In the afternoon, Gan Mianyu visited Gejiu Kaimeng Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. and talked with the chairman Yang Yaojin, Sales Department’s general manager Lv Shunde, Raw Material Department’s general manager Mu Qiquan. Meanwhile, Gan Mianyu also discussed about Burmese ore market and the current international market trend with Gejiu Changxiong Mining’s general manager Li Yong and Gejiu Jinying Industry and Trade’s general manager Yin Dongmei.

In the morning of March 22, Gan Mianyu went to Yunnan Tin Group’s subsidiary Resource Development Co., Ltd., sharing views on the price for imported Burmese ores and the current market with the deputy manager Ma Zhenfei. Whereafter, Gan Mianyu visited Tong Xiang, the Mining Resource Department’s manager of Yunnan Tin Company Limited and invited Mr. Tong to participant in Asian Metal’s World Tin Mining Forum 2016. Mr. Tong highly affirmed the significance of the forum. In the afternoon, Gan Mianyu went to Yunnan Tin Group’s smelting subsidiary and visited the Raw Material Department’s manager Wang Qingyuan, Wang Yunpeng and the director Li Quan. During the visit, Gan Mianyu also friendly communicated with Sun Ziming, the general manager of Gejiu Fengming Metallurgy and Chemistry Plant.

In the morning of March 23, Gan Mianyu went to Yunnan Tin Company Limited again, visiting the general manager Liu Luke and inviting the company to assist this Tin Mining Forum. Mr. Liu spoke highly of the forum and claimed that further details about the forum could be negotiate later. In the noon, Gan Mianyu visited Du Hongwu, Kunming Office’s sales manager of Yunnan Chengfeng and Investment Department’s deputy manager Chen Fuqiang and had lunch together. In the afternoon, Gan Mianyu visited Zhang Zhicheng, the general manager of Yunnan Maoxiang Metal Trading Co., Ltd. and Mr. Zhang shared his ideas on the historical development of Wa State with Gan Mianyu.

On March 24, Gan Mianyu continued to proceed to Menglian Port. In the afternoon, she visited Menglian Hengyuan Trading Co., Ltd. and communicated with the deputy manager Zhou Yanzhao on the Burmese ore market. They two also shared supper together.

In the morning of March 25, Gan Mianyu visited many custom brokers companies like Menglian Tengfa and departed to Menglian Port in accompany with officials from Menglian Zhongyu Co., Ltd. Then, Gan Mianyu together with Qunfa Mining Trading Co., Ltd.’s general manager Zhang Huanqun went to Wa State, visiting and shared lunch with Menglian Zhongyu’s general manager Wang Qiang. Ushered by Mr. Wang, Gan Mianyu visited the warehouse of Wa State’s Ministry of Finance and raw ore crushing plant. In the evening, Wang Qiang recommended Gan Mianyu to Yuanmu Mining’s general manager Bao Yanshang and they exchanged views with each other during suppertime.

In the morning of March 26, Gan Mianyu visited Xie Degang, Wa State’s Bao Youxiang’s eldest son-in-law and Liu Qingchuan, the Executive Deputy Manager of Wa State Wantong (Bao’s) Group. Mr. Xie spoke highly of Asian Metal and hoped to enhance relations between China and Wa State based on the platform provided by Asian Metal. In the afternoon, Gan Mianyu visited Chen Changchun, the chairman of Menglian Chunlin Commerce Co., Ltd., introducing Mr. Chen about Asian Metal’s service in details and inviting Mr. Chen to become Asian metal’s member.
