Cargill Ocean visits Asian Metal

On the morning of April 7th, 2025, Ms. Ying Ying Lim, the Managing Director of Cargill Ocean Transportation (Singapore) Co., and Mr. Tim Barrett, the Capes Global Desk Head, as well as Mr. Liwei Du, the General Manager of Cargill Ocean (China), visited Asian Metal, and had an in-depth exchange with Mr. Friday Gao, the Chief Consultant.

Ms. Ying Ying Lim introduced that they provide with shipping service for bulk commodities including different kinds of vessels. In terms of bauxite, Mr. Tim Barrett and Mr. Liwei Du stressed that they serve several major bauxite producers in Guinea by cape-size vessels. They are optimistic towards shipping opportunities from bauxite. Then Mr. Friday Gao analyzed current bauxite prices and the bauxite production growth from Guinea as well as the demand structure in China.

Mr. Liwei Du noted that the global market news published by Asian Metal are very helpful for them to expand international shipping business. Besides, they will attend the 15th Aluminum Raw Materials Summit to be held on May 22-23 in Xiamen, China.
