Asian Metal visits Fugu Yihe

On the afternoon of December 24th, 2025, Ms. Daphne Zhang, Consultant & Senior Product Manager of Magnesium Market at Asian Metal, visited Fugu Yihe Magnesium Co., Ltd., where she exchanged views with Mr. Heping Hao, Deputy General Manager, on the supply-demand dynamics of the magnesium industry in 2025. Primary magnesium prices showed signs of bottoming out and stabilizing toward year-end. Under cost pressures, some enterprises chose to extend their value chains or suspend and curtail production, leading to subtle shifts in the supply-demand structure and laying the groundwork for recovery in 2026.

Fugu Yihe Magnesium Co., Ltd. is located in Gaoshan Semi-coke Industrial Park, Xinmin Town, Fugu County, Shaanxi Province, just 200 meters from the convenient G338 highway. The project was approved and filed on 31 May 2009, commenced construction in April 2010, and entered production in January 2013. The company operates a 20,000 tpy primary magnesium production line with a supporting gas production workshop, achieving clean semi-coke capacity of 420,000 tpy and coal tar capacity of 30,000 tpy.
