On the afternoon of 25 December, 2024, Ms. Daphne Zhang, the Consultant & Senior Product Manager of Asian Metal, visited Yulin Tianlong Magnesium Co., Ltd. and discussed with Mr. Li Yang, the Sales Director, with regard to the current supply and demand situation of magnesium in 2024 and the application and demand outlook in 2025. They also discussed in depth about how to control risks and enhance corporate competitiveness during the industry downturn. Yulin Tianlong Magnesium Co., Ltd. is a private enterprise integrating the production and sales of magnesium, ferrosilicon and semi-coke. The company is located in the Yellow River Industrial Zone, Fugu County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, in the hinterland of the Shenfu Coalfield Development Zone, a national energy and heavy chemical base. It has now built an annual production of 42,500 tons of magnesium, and a supporting annual production of 500,000 tons of semi-coke and 25,000 tons of ferrosilicon recycling industry chain. The main product, magnesium metal, contains 99.95% magnesium, reaching 100%, and it is in short supply. It is mainly used in multiple downstream industries such as sponge titanium, medical, and high-potential anodes in China, and is exported to countries and regions such as the United Kingdom, Norway, South Korea, and Japan.
