Asian Metal visits Scandinavian Steel Beijing Office
Frank Chen, manganese market analyst of Asian Metal visited Scandinavian Steel AB on January 12, and was welcomed by Lynn Sun, representative of Beijing Office.
Founded in 1958, Scandinavian Steel has grown to become a leading distributor of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, pig iron and alloys to the steel, foundry and chemical industry on a worldwide basis. Many of the products are used to produce the raw materials which later become vital components in the automotive, aerospace and electronics industries.
Miss Sun noted that they are purchasing 1,000-2,000t of manganese flake, manganese briquette and manganese lump in total from Chinese suppliers every month, and supply to global leading end users. Meanwhile, she deemed that manganese metal market will continue to experience a tough time in 2015, as a result of expanding production but soft demand from downstream industries. Frank introduced the 3rd World Selenium & Manganese Forum to Miss Sun, and the latter said will apply for the attendance.
