Asian Metal visits Sinotrans Shandong and Qingdao Rockwell

On 12 December, 2014, Mr. Friday Gao, senior analyst of Asian Metal visited Sinotrans Shandong Hongzhi Logistics Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Rockwell International Trade Co., Ltd.

On the morning of December 12, Mr. Gao visited Sinotrans Shandong and had a meeting with Mr. Yuan Yongjie, vice general manager of Sinotrans Shandong. They talked about the current alumina and bauxite market. After Indonesia stopped bauxite exports, they also transferred to Malaysian bauxite market. According to Mr. Yuan, they also deal with imported alumina logistics.

In the afternoon, Mr. Friday Gao visited Qingdao Rockwell and met with Mr. Guo Shuguang, general manager of the company. “We are now engaged in bauxite development in Malaysia, but we are interested in high-grade bauxite,” said Mr. Guo, noting that low-grade bauxite supply will increase significantly next year, and they can earn little profit.
