Asian Metal visits Indo Dongfeng Motor, Panca Raja Perkasa, Emli and Alakasa in Indonesia

On July 10-11, Friday Gao, senior analyst and manager of base metal department and Penny Wei, analyst from Asian Metal visited part Indonesia bauxite mining owners including Pt. Indo Dongfeng Motor, Pt. Panca Raja Perkasa, Emli Research and Alakasa Company Limited.

On the morning of July 10, Asian Metal firstly visited Indo Dongfeng Motor. Mr. Koentjahro Widjaja, director from Dongfeng Motor and Mr. Ricky from Dongfeng Motor met Friday Gao, manager of base metal department from Asian Metal and Penny Wei, analyst of Asian Metal. Mr. Widjaja introduced their business to Asian Metal and planned to import Australian origin alumina through Chinese traders. According to Mr. Ricky, they own a bauxite mine in Kalimantan and would like to cooperate with some Chinese investors. However, they realized that it is difficult to build alumina refinery in Indonesia.

On the afternoon of July 10, Asian Metal visited Panca Raja Perkasa, a bauxite mining owner. Mr. Eddy and Mr. Jimmy from the company had a meeting with Friday Gao, manager of base metal department from Asian Metal and Penny Wei, analyst from Asian Metal. Mr. Eddy introduced their bauxite mine in details. The test report shows that their bauxite has good quality and the mine covers a land with 24,000 hectares. They plan to find Chinese bauxite buyers and investors. Also, they will make a report in the Asian Bauxite and Nickel Ore Investment & Trading Summit held by Asian Metal on September 23-25, in Bali Indonesia. As for the bauxite export policy, they revealed that Indonesia may extend the current policy to 2016.

On the morning of July 11, Friday Gao, manger of base metal department from Asian Metal visited EMLI Research, a law training company. Mr. Friday Gao talked about the current Indonesia mineral ore export policy with Mr. Philosophian, researcher of EMLI. Meanwhile, Mr. Novel, HR manager and Mr. ADE, researcher from EMLI talked about their cooperation ideas with Asian Metal in terms of the Asian Bauxite and Nickel Ore Investment & Trading Summit on September 23-25, 2013, in Bali Indonesia.

In the evening of July 11, Friday Gao, manager of base metal department from Asian Metal visited Alakasa Company Limited, a major bauxite mining owner in Indonesia. According to Mr. Tay Chong Seng, commercial director from Alakasa, they mainly supply bauxite to Chalco right now. In the long run, they will enlarge bauxite production and extend business. Their bauxite is located in West Kalimantan with Al 46% Si 3.5%. The price is higher than USD50/t FOB Indonesia.
