Asian Metal visits JFE Trading
On July 4th, Frank Chen, manganese market analyst of Asian Metal visited JFE Trading (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and was welcomed by An Xiaowei, the manager of Raw Material Department.
JFE Trading Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of JFE, which is the second largest iron and steel group in the world. JFE produces 33 million tons of crude steel per year and needs 1,000tpm of Chinese manganese flake.
Mr. An told Asian Metal that they have established long-term cooperation relationship with Chinese mainstream manganese producers and their purchasing volume was stable in the first half of 2013. Although overseas end users reduced quantities for Chinese manganese metals in the past two months in view of gloomy global economy and decreasing prices, Mr. An believes that demand for manganese flake from Japanese end users will be steady in the second half of the year. In addition, Frank invited Mr. An to attend the Minor Metal Summit of 2013, which is going to be held by Asian Metal in October in Sanya, Hainan. Mr. An showed great interest and said will attend the summit as long as time is available.
