CITIC Dameng visits Asian Metal

On June 17th, Rong Tan, general manager (Marketing) and Wei Zheng, sales manager of CITIC Dameng Mining Industries Limited visited Asian Metal, and shared views of manganese market dynamics with Victor Hu, senior analyst of Asian Metal and Frank Chen, manganese market analyst.
CITIC Dameng operates the biggest manganese mine in China, which has about 22% of the total reserves of Chinese manganese resource, and owns overseas manganese resource base with manganese ore in countries like Gabon. CITIC Dameng mainly engages in manganese mine exploitation and manganese ore deep-processing. Furthermore, CITIC Dameng owns electrolytic manganese metal plants in leading production areas like Daxin, Tiandeng and Jingxi counties in Guangxi, with a total production capacity of 200,000tpy.
During October 23-25, 2013, Asian Metal will hold the 8th Minor Metals Summit in Sanya, China. As one of the speakers, Miss Tan is going to make a presentation of “Supply and Demand Analysis of Manganese Metals in 2013” on the Summit. Miss Tan believes that Chinese manganese metals market situation will be much more complicated in the second half of 2013, and fierce price competition among suppliers will carry on in the market. Besides, she held a view that actual output of Chinese manganese flake will witness decreases over that of last year. In addition, Miss Tan expressed the hope to enhance communication and cooperation with Asian Metal.
