Asian Metal visits Jiujiang-based tantalum-niobium enterprises

Asian Metal’s General Manager Zhang Xiaoxin of Minor Metal Department and tantalum-niobium analyst Cai Hongjun visited three tantalum-niobium enterprises based in Jiujiang, Jiangxi which are: Jiujiang Non-ferrous Metal Smelting Co., Ltd; Jiujiang Jinxin Non-ferrous Metal Co., Ltd and Jiujiang Zhong’ao Tantalum-niobium Co., Ltd from August 14 to 15, 2012.

When visitors from Asian Metal came to Jiujiang Jinxin Non-ferrous Metal Company on the morning of August 14, General Manager Wumin and Manager Jiang Yanying of Market Department from the company warmly received them. The company is a large comprehensive smeltery for tantalum, niobium and rare earth, also a member unit of TIC. Operating from 1997, the company largely upgraded its facilities, obtained techniques of domestically advanced level with other many achievements on producing and scientific research through constant innovating and reforming. It supplies domestic and international market with dozens kinds of tantalum, niobium and rare earth products. Both sides exchanged ideas on tantalum-niobium market conditions from home and abroad as General Manager Wu gave precious advises to Asian Metal on tantalum-niobium products price reports and supported the oncoming International Strategic Metal Summit.

Visitors from Asian Metal came to Jiujiang Non-ferrous Metal Smelting Copmany on the afternoon of August 14 as General Manager Guo Yongzhong, Vice-General Manager Cen Duanguo, Sales Minister Gaoxiong and Sales Manager Li Xinyi received them. Mr. Guo and Mr. Cen viewed that their export business of the company’s featured products high purity oxides have been stable despite overall dim downstream demand currently. Jiujiang Non-ferrous Metal Smelting Plant (formerly 806 Plant) mainly produces tantalum-niobium oxide and carbide, manufactured material of metal and rare earth phosphor of three series with 84 specifications mainly for exporting, smelting 1,600t/y of tantalum-niobium ore and producing 300t/y of rare earth fluorescent powder of high-performance.

Visitors from Asian Metal came to Jiujiang Zhong’ao Tantalum-niobium Company which is under trial production on the morning of August 15. Chairman Che Jiahe and General Manager Lei Shufeng from the company talked about domestic tantalum-niobium market current states with these visitors. Mr. Che said that he pays close attention to EICC examine and verify and waits eagerly for its approval. The company is a joint venture specializing in tantalum-niobium smelting and processing established by Jiujiang Yizhong Non-ferrous Metal Company and several investment organizations in March, 2011, mainly producing metallurgical tantalum oxide and niobium oxide, high purity tantalum oxide and niobium oxide, potassium fluotantalate, tantalum niobium carbide, tantalum bar, niobium bar and ferroniobium, etc.
