Asian Metal invited to Seventeenth Beijing-Essen Welding and Cutting Steel Exhibition

Zhang Guoxu, tungsten analyst of Asian Metal Minor Metal Department, was invited to the Seventeenth Beijing-Essen Welding and Cutting Steel Exhibition and communicated with tungsten electrode producers friendly on June 6, 2012.
Welding and cutting steel producers showed welding materials and machineries in this exhibition. There were around 12 tungsten electrode producers attending the exhibition. Ms. Zhang had conversations with attendees friendly and expressed her opinion on market outlook of H2. Tungsten electrode occupies a small share in tungsten industry. Tungsten electrode market slows down due to global economic downturn and sharply decrease in demand in H1.
In addition, Ms. Zhang exchanged views with Gu Weihua, vice president of Wanqi Taibao Hangzhou Tungsten Co., Ltd (WQTB). WQTB focuses on technology transfer and tungsten electrode production. Mr. Gu stated that some participants had step into price war and profit margins continued to shrink due to severe competitiveness in Chinese tungsten electrode industry. Mr. Gu was unconfident toward the market outlook and he stated that the market was likely to keep experiencing chilly winter as economy had no signs to recover and demand from both at home and abroad remained soft.
Ms. Zhang communicated with tungsten electrode producers including Shandong Jiufeng Tungsten-Molybdenum Co., Ltd, Zibo Maike Co., Ltd, Beijing Tianlong Tungsten-Molybdenum Co., Ltd, Tejing Tungsten-Molybdenum Co., Ltd, Shandong Huarui Tungsten-Molybdenum Co., Ltd, Shandong Huaye Tungsten-Molybdenum Co., Ltd and Zibo Huaxiang Tungsten-Molybdenum. All producers affirmed information released by Asian Metal and hoped that they would have opportunities to communicate in the later period.
